Theros Man-Thing
After a long delay, I am back. Though, I will not be posting once a day. I'll instead be posting a drawing whenever I can, but at least once a week.
Currently, I'm working on some promotional posters for my upcoming t-shirt/comic brand: Theros. Here's one involving the one, the only, the MAN-DINGALING(thing)!
Here are the rest of the posters if you want to take a peek: Theros Propaganda Posters

Day 24: Woman-Thing in Red

Women of Comics Week
Okay, so this week is tough. I'm going with the women of comics theme.
Think of it as if it were a woman that became the man-thing, rather than a man. Or Man-Thing in drag if that's your thing. I've got pencils done, but I'll be posting some real art tomorrow. You've been warned!

Day 16: Seaman-Thing
Man-Thing has been swimming in the swamp water too long. If he had relations with a fish, this is what occurs.
Seaman was by far one of the creepiest, yet most fun games I've ever played. It came out for the Dreamcast and was one of the only games with a microphone at the time. This fish with a man face would at first just swim around with its brothers and sisters in a tank, eventually to suck the life out of them with a tube on top of its head. You were then left with the last fish standing (or swimming). You awake the next day to find out he now asks questions and wants to learn about your life. A fish with a man-face asking you how your day went. Yup. Awesome. I eventually trained mine enough to become a moth-like creature and then die.

Also, here's an extra drawing I did a few months ago. The man-face hyenas.

Happy Man-Thing Birthday!
So, as posted earlier, my birthday was yesterday. My brother, Joe, had already drawn me a Man-Thing based card along with his gift, which was the 3rd "Y: The Last Man" hardcover and I recommend the series to anyone who hasn't read it. Check it out on Day 14's post.
Little did I know this wasn't the only Man-Thing based gift. My girlfriend, Terri, who I thought would be sick of hearing about my Man-Thing (pun intended), bought me a Man-Thing figure! It even came with a comic! She had him play dress-up in an outfit of mine. Feast your eyes on AleManjandro-Thing!
Whatever knows fear burns at the touch of the Man-Thing's art!
Day 15: Pokéman-Thing
Man-Thing has set forth on the adventure all young boys make, the adventure of Pokemon Mastery! So far, Man-Thing has only been at it for a few weeks, but has caught a considerable amount of pocket monsters and has the Elite Four in his sights. The only set-back he has is that every other trainer seems to be trying to capture Man-Thing for themselves.

Day 14: Mega Man-Thing

Day 13: X-Man-Thing
Man-Thing has found an application into Xavier's academy and may have checked yes for mutant.
Last day of Marvel week! I wanted to get a little more creative with this one. It's just my take on what Man-Thing would wear if part of the X-Men. Had to keep his hands free for melting the bad guys. Enjoy!

Day 11: Iron Man-Thing
Man-Thing is a little frustrated with the new suit Tony Stark gave him. Tony promised to give him a few lessons but instead just decided to get drunk and fight War Machine in his house. He left instructions, but Man-Thing has a little bit of a hard time reading.
"If it weren't for Man-Thing burning the assistant director on set, I wouldn't have this job." - Robert Downy Jr.

Day 10: Spider-Man-Thing
My Man-Thing sense is tingling!
A man named Ted was working in the 'glades. He drank some chemicals and then turned into a hunk of vegetable mass that kicks butt and strikes fear in the hearts of all evil. He was then bitten by a radioactive spider in the swamp and made a red and blue costume to swing around in the trees, what?
"This was my original idea for Man-Thing." - Stan Lee

Day 9: Man-THING
It's clobberin' time. The only reason Man-Thing wanted to be Thing is because of the blue undies. Ben can't rock 'em like Man-Thing can.
BY THE WAY, it's Marvel week. I'll be doing four more Marvel characters by the end of Friday.

Day 8: Anchorman-Thing
I don't know how to put this but he's kind of a big deal. Man-Thing is taking over your hearts, and now your news stations. Even though he technically can't speak, he's going to deliver the news whether you like it or not. (The 4's in the background are for the channel 4 news, not Fantastic Four!)
Stay classy followers.

Day 6: Chris Neseman-Thing
Most of you reading this probably know who Chris Neseman is. In case you don't, I'll treat you to some information.
Chris is one of four members of the 11 O'Clock Comics Podcast. I stumbled upon this podcast through my Zune, and have been listening since November-ish. After a drink roll call, you can expect hours of some awesome comics discussion. Since today is Wednesday, and they record on Wednesdays, I decided to do this as a tribute. Sorry for the other 3 members who don't have the word man in their names.
Tune in on the website, subscribe to the podcast on iTunes or Zune, and check out the forum! You can expect a new episode every Thursday and listen to Chris speak, well, that is if he doesn't fall asleep.
"Awesome!" - Vince B.

OOOOOhhhhh YEEEEEE-AH! Macho Madness is here and Man-Thing is along for the ride.
Here's one of my favorite wrestling promos of all time: Macho Man Promo.

Man-Thing by Xurxo G. Penalta
As you may know, the MTAD (short awesome slang for Man-Thing A Day) project is only going on during the weekdays. Therefore, for all four of my followers who are fiending over the next MTAD, I'll be showcasing other renditions of Man-Thing that I enjoy.
First up, Xurxo Penalta. Xurxo is a Galego (someone from Galicia, a part of Spain that is close to Portugal) that draws some amazingly detailed pieces. He happened to draw the portrait of Man-Thing featured in today's post. You can check out more of his art at www.laserdraw.blogspot.com.
Xurxo and I are also both members of the 11 o'clock comics forum. It's a great community with an even better podcast!
Don't be afraid to follow me on Twitter. You know what happens when Man-Thing senses fear! (You get burned)

Day 3: Dr. Man-Thing-Hattan
If there is any other person that feels as out of touch with humanity as Man-Thing, it's probably Dr. Manhattan. Man-Thing has been wondering why he hasn't received as much attention, and he may have found it. He's not blue! Man-Thing has walked out of the Intrinsic Field Subtractor with all of the same abilities, yet, something is off. He seems to be a little less "equipped" than his Watchmen counterpart. Can Man-Thing catch a break?
"I would love this if I could." - Dr. Manhattan

Day 2: Batman-Thing
The dark knight is in style these days, and Man-Thing is no exception. Get ready for Gotham City's newest hero.

Day 1: Man-Thing
Today is the first day of "Man-Thing A Day". Man-Thing has been going through what you may call an identity crisis, with Swamp Thing being around, and he's invited everyone to see what images work best for him.
Check this site every weekday to see what character Man-Thing has become.
